Junior Software QC Engineer

We are in search of a Junior Software Quality Control Engineer to join our team. This position will ensure that our software is designed and built to high-quality standards. We are looking for a candidate who will work alongside our programming and support teams to help make sure that the software meets those standards. The ideal candidate loves to learn, find bugs, and takes a high level of pride in releasing beautiful, well-tested, well-architected software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in understanding the requirements and design of the software to effectively test
• Work with the team to create test requirements and scenarios
• Be able to identify points of failure in function within the software and effectively communicate back to the developer
• Participate in overall testing: System, functional, Integration, Data quality, well as performance and load testing
• Write and execute automation tests
• Script and execute manual tests
• Analysis and breakdown of testing requirements
• Collect, prepare, and present QC releases
• Support programming department goals of continuous software release roll-outs by creation and execution of automated and manual tests
• Continuously learn and apply industry best practices

Required Skills:

• An understanding of the software development life cycle
• Proactive attitude for catching any issues with the software early during the development sprint
• 1+ years of hands-on QC experience
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with designing, developing, and executing manual and automated tests using QC tools and technologies
• 1+ years of experience with web, software, and application development processes
• At least 1-year Development experience with Laravel/PHP and VueJS, helpful
• A keen eye for detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with agile and scrum methodologies, helpful
